As an AC Digital Operations Associate Director, you will help drive the digital vision, strategy, and execution for PPG’s Architectural Coatings business in US and CA to help accelerate PPG’s digital transformation. This candidate will work with both the PPG Digital COE teams and the AC USCA business teams to understand and help drive both the business process evolution needed, as well as guide the digital platform and marketbuildforts to create the targeted impact in both digital and business performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Driving the adoption and activation of digital omnichannel and services locally/regionally by working with business teams to evolve/change business processes to build the sales, margin and operational impact to the AC business.
  • Building and implementing a content strategy including product data and other online content. One key responsibility will be to ensure that appropriate product data and content is in place to allow the effective merchandising and sale of products online on PPG digital assets as well as 3P/Retail digital assets.
  • To drive the adoption of PPG’s digital assets in their respective region (web, mobile, apps, EDI, and other specific tools eg eDealer). This large change management aspect will focus on both the internal employee adoption (especially the sales teams), as well as the adoption by customers. Key focus to help drive adoption will be on ensuring complete/accurate/enriched product data, appropriate pricing, the right delivery proposition, and other operational tactics such as extended online trading hours.
  • To define and execute the strategy for 3P marketplaces eg Amazon and deliver sales, margin and customer acquisition goals.
  • To define and execute an omnichannel strategy for AC’s retail partners such as Home Depot to deliver overall sales, margin lift influenced by digital merchandizing and commerce.
  • To set and drive the regional digital/omnichannel customer, sales, margin targets (including web, mobile, eDealer, 3P eCommerce, EDI and services). This will require an operational approach clearly defined by key product categories, by key partners, and by key customer segments.
  • To build an operational relationship with key stakeholders in the AC regional business - including business and sales leaders to drive factors impacting digital/omnichannel adoption.
  • To set and drive EDI sales targets by identifying and building a customer pipeline and managing the ongoing rollout and support of new implementations.
  • To define and implement region specific digital marketing campaigns working with the PPG Digital Marketing COE as well as the regional marketing teams.
  • To be embedded into the continuous development of the Customer Digital Platform by providing region specific customer needs and business needs. This will require the active participation working with various squads.
  • Build and lead a regional digital ops team of driven, creative and business minded individuals
  • Be an evangelist for Digital – introduce new innovative ideas, tools and processes to really drive Digital to the forefront of our go-to market channels.
  • This is a global role requiring 20-30% travel. It is based in Pittsburgh, PA (USA).

Qualifications

  • Proven track record preferably in B2B/C ecommerce/omnichannel driving customer and business adoption and impact.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in digital business; preferably responsible for digital/ecommerce performance for a business or business unit.
  • Outstanding data analytics skills.
  • Ability to lead high performing, cross-functional teams
  • Experience managing priorities with third party vendors and key partners.
  • Outstanding written/oral, organizational, analytical skills, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to provide clear direction, set measurable goals and give insight on industry trends.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to present work to executive stakeholders.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the market landscape, both through a technology and competitor lens.
  • BA/BS degree required, MBA preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with Agile/Lean Startup methodologies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and in taking people along so that they are excited about the ability to create impact through the use of new emerging digital technologies.
