  • Responsible for managing the ASC’s (Aerospace Application Center) quality system and ensuring continued compliance to quality standards required in the aerospace business for coatings, sealants and transparencies. 
  • Updating the Quality Manual, coordinating and implementing findings from quality audits.
  • Involved in attaining new approvals for NADCAP, Airbus Boeing.
  • Conducting quality review meetings and supervising operation of the in-house quality tracker system.
  • Manages quality of incoming and outgoing materials for finished goods, delivered goods, work in process & chemical management services provided.
  • Manages the customer quality feedback system and initiate improvements for chemical management systems department.
  • Ensures that precision measuring equipment & tools are calibrated per schedule.
  • Responsible for ensuring quality documentation including certificates of compliance/conformance as required by customers.
  • Initiate supplier corrective action report on all non-conforming material.
  • Perform root cause failure analysis for customer complaints and product serviceability issues.
  • Manages vendor quality performance & verifying corrective actions to ensure effectiveness.
  • Manage laboratory and conduct testing for sealants, coatings and third-party packaging with Lab Chemist.
  • Design, develop & delivers in-house quality assurance, health and safety training programs for new employees.
  • Conducts quality and safety-related training for existing employees.
  • Assist CMS Program Manager to work effectively across the purchasing organization with having varying customer requirements.
  • Keeps abreast of various customer quality requirements affecting the CMS program and communicates
  • Work closely with peers across Asia Pacific, a global/vast ASC and manufacturing network
 
EHS
 
  • Implementation and monitoring of PPG's EHS Management System procedures together with legal and local EHS requirements.
  • Ensure employees comply with PPG EHS Requirements and abide PPG’s Life Critical Rules.
  • Participated in various projects to improve work ergonomics and reduce the environmental footprint.
  • Performed EHSMS self-assessment (internal audit) based on PPG’s EHS requirements.
  • Works closely with plant operations team to maintain PPG EHS management system and improve plant’s EHS performance.
  • Works closely with Singapore and SEA EHS Partners.
  • Developed strategies and share best practices within the plant and inculcating safety culture among all employees.
  • Responsible to analyze data and trends of plant’s safety performance.
  • Conducted investigations and EHS evaluations before preparing reports to senior management and corporate PPG EHS teams.
  • Reviewed all safety-related equipment in the plant and proposed sourcing strategies on relevant equipment.
  • Assist to organize wellness program and activities for employees.
 


  • Minimum Degree in Chemistry, Safety / Engineering with 3 years in an Aerospace industry or Diploma with 5 years in an Aerospace industry.
  • Strong written and speaking skills in English is essential.
  • Established LEAN and Six Sigma skills is preferred
  • Senior Lab and Quality Chemists and Technicians are encouraged to apply.
  • Must be able to work in Tuas interim and relocate to Seletar Aerospace Park from June 2020 onwards.
