As a CNC Lead Technician with PPG, you will be an essential part of our operations, ensuring that a quality product is deliverable to our customers when they need them.

Your work will directly impact people’s lives. Without you, our products would not be available to paint the nurseries of new parents, to make residents of retirement homes feel more at home, and even keep travelers safe in the skies when flying to see family during holidays!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ability to run multiple machines (All programs)
  • Inspect parts for defects
  • Software (NC Expert)
  • Programming
  • Setups - Beginner to advanced ( Inserts, fixtures and tooling)
  • Forklift Certification
  • Tool Fabrication
  • CNC advanced Fluency
  • Use measurement devices when required (Calipers, Depth Gage,  Micrometers etc.)
  • Maintenance/TPM
  • Product Introduction (New program process development)
  • Work with engineers as needed to support tool or process development
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical computations, Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions and to practical situations.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this include close vision. Distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability focus.
  • Comply with all quality policies, specifications, regulations and instructions
  • Rework/Trouble shooting/Problem solving (SPC)

Experience and Education

  • Two years related experience and/or training or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • High school diploma or GED required
