The Credit Manager-Aerospace will report to the Manager - Credit Services, Aerospace and Industrial Coatings and will be based out of our headquarters in Pittsburgh, PA.

The Credit Manager, Aerospace is responsible for the effective administration of corporate credit internal controls and collection policies for the Aerospace business. This includes

  • Management of an accounts receivable portfolio;
  • Establishing and maintaining credit limits for new and existing customers;
  • Evaluation of customer credit worthiness using financial statements, credit agency reports, business intelligence and economic indicators. 

The portfolio of customers includes a diversity of size, sales, export vs domestic, military vs commercial, OEM vs. aftermarket, etc.  The Aerospace locations supported include the ASCs (Application Support Centers), Transparency locations, and new acquisitions as they are integrated into Oracle AR. The locations are in the US and Canada and cover all time zones.  It will be required to be available to resolve issues as they arise during non-standard business hours. 

The Credit Manager will provide creative solutions to limit the risk along with pro-active collection and problem-solving techniques.  This requires frequent communication and coordination with ASC Business Managers, sales, customer service and finance to gain up-to-date knowledge of the customers, the industry and the business strategic goals.  Regular communications with customers’ decision-makers including those in accounts payable and purchasing will be required.  

We are looking for a self-starter who can initiate appropriate collection of past due and over credit limit accounts to enforce terms of sale, avoid excessive receivable exposure and enhance corporate cash flow.  Tact, discretion and professional judgement must be displayed to prevent collection efforts from adversely affecting customer relations. 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in finance, accounting, or relevant major; OR Associates degree with a minimum of 5 years customer service or credit experience

Functional and Technical Skills:

  • Effectively analyze various types of financial information to reach sound credit decisions
  • Effectively communicate and interact with customers and all levels of business management
  • Lead meetings with business management and external customers to resolve issues
  • Working knowledge of Oracle Receivables is desired.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office is required.
  • It will be required to be available to resolve issues as they arise during non-standard business hours.
