As a Demand Planner, you will ensure accurate customer-item-location level forecasts so that the SBU can plan and manufacture products on a timely basis. Doing so provides excellent product availability and outstanding customer service to the business segments, while minimizing working capital investment for stock items. Forecasts for make-to-order items will be used to determine rough-cut capacity plans. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project sales history and customer information into a SKU forecast by customer or location to enable product manufacturing according to netted requirements.
  • Coordinate new product launches and branding changes, development of S&OP forecasts, and address supply chain concerns.
  • Recommend strategic safety stocking levels and routings for customer’s products by comparing their inventory levels, sales trends, and ordering patterns, so that inventory assets are leveraged accurately.
  • Establish metrics, such as mean absolute percent error (MAPE), to determine bias and drive improvement in forecast accuracy.
  • Execute ad hoc reporting to provide information to individual accounts and update SBU Software and Scorecards and develop a forward looking forecast.


  • A Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in Supply Chain, Logistics or Operations related field.  
  • 3-5 Years of relatable, Demand Planning experience
  • Demonstrated proficiency in statistics, forecasting methods and S&OP process with an understanding of their financial and operational impacts
  • Proficient with ERP systems and their Demand Planning environments (SAP-APO, Logility, Demantra, etc.)
  • Experience with working in a consultative manner with business leaders and the ability to evoke action from a diverse group, whom do not have a direct reporting relationship.
