PPG’s Automotive Refinish manufacturing facility in Delaware, OH is now hiring an EHS Manager. The EHS Manager will lead and drive continuous improvement of the Environment, Health, Safety and Occupational Health programs for the Delaware manufacturing site, US distribution centers and training centers, USCA field associates, and contractor safety programs. The most successful EHS Specialist is sought out by leaders and employees, and anticipates improvements before an issue occurs! Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive injury prevention and spill elimination processes sustainability in the areas of waste elimination, energy conservation and water consumption; provide leadership and direction for EHS training; and includes oversight and completion for the industrial hygiene program.
  • Provides incident and injury investigation, incident reporting management (Cority), and case strategic direction and oversight to Refinish USCA.
  • Provides oversight and coordination for site’s OSHA PSM program, including the facility-wide MOC program.
  • Evaluate the EHS Impacts of capital projects and assure EHS risk assessments are completed.
  • Plan, coordinate, schedule and facilitate site Ergonomics.
  • Provide oversight, audit readiness and mentorship for compliance audits and corrective action management.
  • Run hazardous waste management program and reporting, as well as, the environmental program to include: SWPPP, Air Permitting, SPCC, Waste and Waste Water and reporting requirements.
  • Lead site security, fire prevention and insurance carrier risk management.
  • Conceives, develops, and leads solutions to sophisticated situations, using legally or expertly accepted techniques, procedures, or methods.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • B.S. in Safety Science, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or closely related fields; Master's Degree preferred.
  • Minimum 6 Years’ of proven experience in a management role; experience with PSM facility preferred; experience with air federal and state regulatory standards in the chemical industry preferred.
  • Must possess a strong understanding of OSHA, ANSI, ACGIH, EPA and NFPA standards, and have knowledge of environmental permitting requirements.
