IT Project Manager

Who are we looking for?

Technical

You must have previous experience in managing projects which allows you to provide leadership on one or more projects or sub-projects and give direction to both PPG employees and contract resources. You must have the ability to develop and maintain fully integrated project plans which specify project goals, deliverables, staffing, scheduling, risk assessment, contingency planning, resource allocation and cost analysis. You will also be responsible for monitoring and reporting to management on the status of project efforts and will be held accountable for controlling project plans and costs. 

You possess knowledge of commonly used and emerging concepts, practices, and procedures for the full product development life cycle. You assure that project team members adhere to internal standards, established methodologies and procedures for project reporting, design, development, documentation, and quality assurance. You coordinate and often participate in the preparation of detailed specifications from which applications will be written. You understand the procedures and expected system performance associated with various applicable technologies.  

Interpersonal

You are organized, articulate, detail-oriented, and comfortable leading and delegating within a team structure. You have experience interacting with individuals at all levels. You are able to facilitate communication between technical and non-technical resources on a project. This includes the coordination of teams in different areas and regions, including external clients. You foster and maintain good working-relationships with customers and IT colleagues to meet expected customer service levels.  

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent work experience.

• Experience of SAP and SAP Implementation projects.

• 4-6 years of direct experience in a project management capacity, including all aspects of project development and execution. 

• Strong project management skills, including defining, organizing, planning and executing projects from vision through implementation.

• Demonstrated use and application of project management.

• Ability to lead and effectively participate in teams.

• Strong verbal and written English communication skills, with an ability to express complex technical concepts in audience appropriate terms

• Ability to work without close supervision, keeping focused on short and long-term objectives.

• Strong organizational skills, very detail oriented

• Ability to manage competing priorities.

• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
