APAC Leadership Development Manager (LDM) supports the department objective to strengthen PPG’s regional leadership pipeline through direct assignment experience, indirect exposure strategies, and expansion development. 

The LDM works collaboratively across the business, functions and HR in the region to develop and implement programs and interventions that support the business strategy and lead to continuous improvement of organizational and leadership growth.

 

Together with the global team, the Leadership Development Manager acts as a Consultant to the regional businesses and HR across the core processes:  Talent Management, Succession Planning, Leadership Development, and Assessment for Top Talent Pools.

 

Leadership Development Manager is accountable for:

•         Translating the Global Talent Strategy and the talent market to design, develop, and deliver programs that drive accountable growth in ready-now future leaders.

•         Collaborate with the Global Leadership Development team and Regional HR team to support the Leadership Development strategy, programs, tools, and processes to produce measureable leadership growth.

•         Lead key Top Talent programs through the Region including talent identification & assessment, development gap analysis, career & development planning, succession, cohort planning, coaching, mentoring, compensation analysis, mobility, and program effectiveness evaluation.

•         Partner with HR to design, inform, and communicate talent analytics to drive insights throughout the business in support of the Talent Strategy.

•         Direct the HR/Talent community work on Leadership Development programs, providing consultancy and support to ensure effectiveness.

•         Cooperate with and direct the Talent support team in deployment of Talent strategies.

Understands The PPG Way, PPG business strategies, and challenges.

Earned the trust and confidence of the regional HR Leadership Team, regional Executive Leadership Teams, global partners, and regional Top Talent.

Effectively implemented programs and interventions in key areas (talent management, succession, leadership development, assessment and coaching, etc.).

Contributed to the Leadership Development global standard programs.


Has expertise and work experience (10 years+) in the following areas: Talent Management, Learning & Development, and/or Leadership Development.

Ability to successfully navigate in a global matrix organization and dealing with ambiguity.

Demonstrates ability to quickly understand business drivers and cultural/organizational dynamics.

Executive presence and proven ability to establish credibility with senior leadership.

Strong consultancy skills and a proven foundation in modern talent trends, talent market insights, and key research firms driving talent practices.

Proven program management and project management skills.

Mobility – may require up to 30% travel.

English fluent, knowledge of additional Asia Pacific languages will be an advantage.

Bachelor’s degree required. Advanced degree preferred.
