Experience and Education
This position requires a strong electrical mechanical background. At least 5 years of experience as a maintenance mechanic or qualified electrical journeyman in an industrial manufacturing or similar work setting is required for consideration. Thorough knowledge of Industrial production and utility equipment operation is preferred. Industrial electro mechanic degree or equivalent experience in manufacturing environment. Additional Industrial Electrical & PLC experience desired. Must have a high school degree or GED.
Functional and Technical Skills
- Experience with positive displacement pumps, mag drive pumps, VFD's, boilers, water softeners, air compressors, dryers, chillers, gas heaters, HVAC, mixers, filling line equipment, filters housings, solenoids valves, wrappers, tanks, motors, diaphragms pumps, building maintenance or related experience. Secondary skills is desired as follow - PLC and welding.
- Repair, modify and install equipment to maintain and operate the facility
- Understands basic electrical and pneumatic diagrams, familiar with 12 VDC to 480 VAC electrical wiring or circuits and capable of diagnosing 24/115 VAC control circuity.
- Work in confined spaces, on elevated platforms, ladders, scaffolding and roofs
- Perform all tasks associated with troubleshooting equipment
- Perform all tasks associated with preventive and predictive maintenance programs
- Accurately maintains records and reports as required
- Multi discipline mechanical, electrical, HVAC skills and the ability to learn at an accelerated place.
- Experience with personal computers and common business software packages.
- Effective communication, observation, planning, writing, reading, basic math, problem solving, and prioritizing skills.
- Ability to operate a variety of power equipment and material handling devices typically found in an industrial maintenance shop.
- Understand and utilize technical manuals, blueprints and sketches to accomplish assigned tasks.
- Possess and maintain a valid Ohio driver’s license. Must possess forklift operation certificate or have the ability to operate one.
- Capability to function in a team oriented environment where tasks and work load are shared/rotated among all associates in the maintenance function with a minimum of supervision.
- Must be self-motivated and able to work without close supervision.
- Must be able to wear a respirator when required and all applicable PPE.
- Must be able to work in confined spaces, on elevated platforms, ladders, scaffolding and roofs.
- Must be able to lift items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Will be required to be on call for emergencies.
