As an Operations Accounting Manager, Traffic Solutions, you will support the business by providing accurate and timely data and analysis related to product costs, manufacturing and distribution operations, and relevant variances. You will manage the operations accounting activities for the United States and Canada locations, within the Traffic Solutions business which includes 12 manufacturing facilities. You will report to the Global Finance Director, Traffic Solutions. This position is open to being remote with travel as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with manufacturing leadership to cost-effectively provide high quality products to Traffic Solutions customers.
- Be an active participant of the manufacturing leadership team, providing the team with financial insights and guidance.
- Create dashboards to drive accountability on manufacturing performance.
- Provide the business with profit analysis in communication of manufacturing results and variances, period costs, estimates, and manufacturing strategy.
- Manage product costing for the business unit, update standards, refine costing assumptions at each facility to prepare for conversion to standard costing.
- Complete the annual budget and periodic product re-costs to support accurate inventory valuation and decisions focused on product profitability.
- Complete month end close activities related to manufacturing and operations.
- Manage all inventory accounts including trend analysis, monthly account reconciliation approvals, physical inventory audits, and physical inventory reconciliation approvals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting with 4+ years of finance and accounting experience. Exposure to manufacturing / plant accounting preferred.
- Willingness to travel to manufacturing plant locations on a regular basis.
- Technical proficiency with PowerPoint and Excel.
