As a Plant Manager, you will provide operational management for the entire production process for the business. Are you a self-starter, strategic problem solver that has proven a history of continuous improvement and record of accomplishment of delivering results? To be successful in this role, you will contribute to the profitability of the business by coordinating each step of the production process to ensure customers’ needs are met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manufacture and deliver quality coatings safely, on time, efficiently, and within PPG guidelines.
  • Lead a clean, safe, cost efficient production organization that is committed to a high level of first run capability and is responsive to changes in the marketplace.
  • Evaluates equipment, facility, warehousing/distribution and process needs, and prepares capital authorizations to meet current and future needs.
  • Develop and maintain, training and participative management, a work force that is highly skilled, motivated and committed to organizational objectives with effective utilization of staff.


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with Chemical Engineering or Chemistry preferred; and an advanced degree, such as MBA, is desired.
  • 5+ years of proven ability in Chemical Operations and Production Supervision in a PSM facility.
  • Fluent in DMAIC/DFLSS and Kaizen project execution—Lean Six Sigma Certification preferred (Green belt or Black belt).
  • Strong determination for action and an ability to create and implement initiatives to drive performance improvement, providing examples of tangible results.
