Based in Grand Haven, Michigan the Plant Manager is responsible for establishing and implementing plans to meet corporate wide objectives; as well as communicating vision for long-term success to plant personnel.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily operations efficiently to meet customer service levels
  • Continues improving EHS performance to keep our associates safe
  • Remain in compliance with facility ISO/TS standards and ISO 14001/EHS regulatory and corporate requirements as applicable   
  • Tracks financial results to ensure working capital & cost per unit budgetary goals are met or exceeds plan.
  • Ensures monthly metrics (safety, quality, productivity, and inventory) are met or adequate actions are in place to improve performance
  • Maintains a customer relationship that ensures quality and service are to the customer’s satisfaction.
  • Develop and maintain highly engaged associates thru establishing and re-enforcing site policies, jobs descriptions, responsibilities, recognition plans, communication processes, etc
  • Create succession plans to ensure leadership positions can be filled internally
  • Inspires a culture of safety, teamwork, ownership, customer satisfaction and continuous improvement
  • Promotes continuous improvement objectives and development of the plant.
  • Defines the short term and long term plans for the facility to fulfill the site and corporate vision and goals.                  
  • Manages several subordinate managers and is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. 
Experience and Education
  • Engineering Bachelor's degree (B. S.) from four-year College or university required, master’s degree preferred; and five years related experience.
  • Continuous Improvement : Proven Lean Manufacturing/CI tools/VPM application  
  • Quality: ISO/TS, Six sigma, 5 why problem solving, RCFA, control plan, FMEAs etc
  • End to end Supply Chain: Demand, Inventory Management, SIOP
