Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Polymer Science or Chemical Engineering plus 7 years of relevant work experience; or Master’s Degree in Chemistry, Polymer Science or Chemical Engineering plus 5 years of relevant work experience required.
- Knowledge of epoxy, polyurethane, polysiloxane, inorganic zinc silicate formulating principles required.
- Knowledge and experience with protective and marine coating testing procedures, particularly accelerated corrosion resistance testing, is required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required.
- Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to search and interpret literature and is cognizant of competitor technology and intellectual property.
- Knowledge of design of experiments principles is desired.
- Ability to communicate at all levels and to motivate peers and associates in cooperative efforts.
- Must have excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills in order to deal effectively with external customers and internal personnel; generate written reports; and make technical presentations.
