- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Chemical / Mechanical preferred)
- Minimum 7 years of experience as a Sr. Engineer, Project Engineer or Supervisor in a process manufacturing environment.
- Strong experience with process improvement, including debottlenecking chemical processes. Must be able to demonstrate examples of tangible results.
- Supervision experience in a union environment.
- Strong analytical capabilities; experience using visual metrics to organize and run an operation.
- Self-starter; takes initiative to identify and solve problems; works collaboratively with others in plant and with other functions (supply chain, sales, etc.).
- Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, background and spreadsheet/database skill set, DCS systems and SAP.
- Ability to interact in an effective manner with all levels of employees, including executive management.
- Lean/Six Sigma Certification preferred (Greenbelt/Blackbelt)
