The Regional Sales Manager supports the profitable sales growth for USCA Industrial Coatings business in the Southeast. Specifically, the position is responsible for maintaining sales and increasing share of wallet at existing accounts as well as developing business at new accounts. The regional manager will direct activities for a set of geographically based territories in the Southeast including Alabama, Louisiana, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky Mississippi, Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, Maryland, Virginia, and West Virginia. Using programs and developing new initiatives, the incumbent will support the business objectives for sales, profitability, expense control and working capital. Close cooperation between the strategic account managers, other sales managers, technology centers, marketing, product management, customer service, technical service and other PPG staff is critical to the success of the business.
  • Manage the Sales staff to profitably grow the USCA Industrial Coatings business.
  • Develop and execute the business plan for the sales territory that aligns with the objectives of the business unit. 
  • Utilize sales tools including value selling concepts. 
  • Organize and Coordinate the activities of the Sales and Technical Service team.
  • Oversee timely and accurate communications regarding customer requirements, business opportunities and issues.
  • Monitor and report market and competitor intelligence.
  • Invest a significant effort in developing a professional sales staff through coaching, mentoring and joint account visitation.
  • Support complexity reduction and business transformation initiatives. 


Experience and Education:
  • A Bachelor’s degree is required
  • Minimum of 8 or more years of field sales experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience managing a team
  • Demonstrated leadership capability with strong resource management skills and the ability to work in a dynamic environment with competing priorities.
  • Expected travel 60-80%
