The Sourcing Analyst is responsible for identifying the raw materials, components, equipment, and services as required to support internal customer requirements. It is expected that the Sourcing Analyst will analyze supplier offerings and will determine the best value for the total cost of ownership based on price, quality, delivery performance, and in alignment with the Aerospace Commodity Strategies that support the overall business unit requirements.


The Sourcing Analyst is responsible for maintaining the supplier metrics within the Business Operating System which includes supplier performance, on time delivery, supplier days payable outstanding (DPO’s), and quality goals as established by the Aerospace Business Leadership team.


The Sourcing Analyst will be responsible to work cross functional teams that include production, engineering, quality, supply chain, materials, research / technical, sales / marketing, and finance to ensure that all Aerospace Business Unit objectives are met to support and meet the annual and long term business plans.

  • Will be supporting all 3 segments (Materials / Freespace / Areospace ) from this location. Areospace is located at 264 Bodwell, Freespace and Materials are located at 1 ledin ( 1 block away )

  • Support daily Purchasing functions which include, PO generation & confirmation, updating QAD with latest ship dates, expediting and deferring PO’s, supplier set ups, maintaining PO price files, tracking hot shipments.

  • Develop, write and implement annual Procurement Plans to support operational requirements which will

    include yearly cost savings and favorable term improvements. 

  • Support and maintain VMI initiatives.

  • Working with the production personal, establish and maintain MOQ replenishments for expense items.

  • Assist in identifying Freight options and savings.

  • Review AP issues with Chillicothe.

  • Assist in reconciling and reviewing receipts in QAD.

  • Communicate significant market shifts and supplier issues to all internal customers.

  • Other duties as assigned.


  • Bachelor Degree Preferred.
  • 3 – 5 years of commodity management experience in Aerospace preferred.
  • Experience in working in engineering and manufacturing position experience is preferred.
  • Good project management and communication skills.
  • Full proficient in both written and spoken English.
  • Proficient in Excel and ERP software.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Skilled in the area of Supplier Management, such as contract management, sourcing   process    
  • Supplier development knowledge is also a plus, (e.g., 6 sigma, PPAP, APQP, etc.).
  • Some travel required.
