Architectural Coatings is currently hiring a Sr. Supply Chain Analyst – Sourcing, based in Cranberry, PA.
This position will be responsible for enhancing and supporting: data structure, collection, collating, demand and replenishment models, and interpretation of the SBU’s Planning and Inventory Management processes. This role will work in the SBU’s Enterprise Supply Chain organization to learn the SBU item master, order-entry, purchasing, forecasting, and product deployment systems, and will make and action operating recommendations for improvement in work flow and overall operations as an output.
 
Sr. Supply Chain Analyst typically works on more intricate and advanced supply planning processes and problems that require SBU experience and understanding to resolve. This person will lead diverse functional groups to effective and practical solutions, as well as analyze demand streams and select appropriate demand planning models.
 
Specific responsibilities include:
  • New Products Introductions - Work with PPG Sales Management and Marketing to coordinate new product launches and branding changes, and address supply chain concerns, including  the dissemination of information to plants regarding time tables, target introduction dates, etc.
  • Ensure that MOC and MDM and DSP requirements are completed on-time to support the new products’ introductions.
  • Analyze sourcing and routing of finished goods to identify more efficient network layout strategies.
  • As needed, establish and implement product sourcing processes that minimizes total delivered costs from manufacturing plants to customers.
  • Establish and implement procedures to maintain the optimum inventory levels, introduce new or revised products.
  • Review, recommend, and report monthly strategic safety stocking levels and routings for customer’s products by comparing their inventory levels, sales trends, and ordering patterns, ensuring that inventory assets are leveraged properly.
  • Support the setting of target inventory calculations.
The Sr. Supply Chain Analyst will also provide occasional support in the following areas:
  • Develop annual manufacturing and distribution activity budgets.
  • Coordinating with the field and Customer Service ensure Make-to-Order (MTO) products are made and shipped in a timely manner.
  • Provide periodic (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual) reports as detailed by his or her supervisor.
  • Provide Ad Hoc reports and analysis as requested.
  • Maintain an in-depth understating of the function, layout, and formatting of IT systems used in demand and supply planning.
  • Participate or lead relevant department project teams. 

Required Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations, or Supply Chain field is required. APICS certification a plus.
  • 2 years of experience as a Supply Chain Analyst, Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Logistics Planning or similar role with familiarity with supply chain processes (e.g. Inventory planning, warehouse management)
  • Intermediate experience with Microsoft Excel and Access.
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position

  • The incumbent will have leadership and communication skills to evoke action from a diverse group, many of whom do not have a direct reporting relationship to the incumbent.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with SBU leadership regarding issues, options, and reactions.
