The Supply Chain Planning Analyst will require a high level of collaboration within the supply chain functions to ensure business requirements are met to the demands of the customer's on-time delivery requirements and achieve the Plant’s assigned goals. The prospective candidate will have experience with advanced supply chain planning solutions and have a strong understanding of business reporting tools and data integrations that support these tools. The candidate will be critical in moving PPG’s supply chain planning data and analysis to the next level.

Essential Duties:
  • Exercise customer service, production planning, purchasing, logistics and inventory management techniques to:
    • consistently support the on-time manufacturing of products to maintain designated product inventory levels,
    • minimize recoverable assets
    • support the on-time delivery of products to end Customers.
  • Work with the team to document current reporting process and identify and streamline areas of improvement
  • Develop a deep understanding of PPG’s supply chain planning solutions within the customer planning function
  • Coordinate the development of reporting tools and ensure data integrity from all data sources
  • Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports
  • Design and create data models and graphs that are optimal for reporting and analytics
  • Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
  • Take well established processes and streamline them using automated data feeds and data analysis tools
  • Timely response and resolution to customer and field complaints, including root cause analysis and implementation of effective corrective actions.
  • Communicate weekly on progress and roadblocks to key stakeholders

Experience/Educational Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, IT, or APICS Certification.
  • 3+ years’ experience with supply chain planning implementation with direct customer interaction
  • Business knowledge of how other departments operate that frequently interact with Customer Planning: Sales, Technical, Production, Quality Assurance, Distribution, Purchasing and the Field
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Expertise with data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques
  • Basic understanding of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing large datasets
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Understanding of data warehouse design methodologies and best practices
  • Proven track record of successful BI and analytics solution delivery and involvement
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects
  • Advanced user of Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, and PowerPoint), including formulas, pivot tables, macros, data integration, and reports
  • JDA or Oracle or other advanced supply chain planning tool experience preferred
  • Deep understanding of data analysis tools, Power BI experience preferred; Experience with SQL, DAX Formula, R or other statistical programming language is a plus
