The Total Rewards Manager, located in Pittsburgh, PA will play a highly visible role in the successful strategy development and implementation of PPG’s total rewards initiatives. 

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Global Total Rewards Team, SMEs and PPSC in the delivery of strategy, practice and process for business in respective locations.

  • Promote the use of applied tools and technology for driving smarter, simpler, stronger user experiences with the PPG Way taken in everyday plan and action.

  • Contribute to continue improvement and harmonization of Total Rewards policies, practice and activities by providing feedback according to local legislation requirement and practice. 

  • Lead and accountable for the day-to-day management and communication of multiple compensation programs with a focus on services delivery, internal practice and legal compliance.

  • Support the implementation of key total rewards projects and initiatives to enable successful delivery of PPG Total Rewards Strategy.

  • Communicate with and educate stakeholders for effective total reward knowledge transfer.

  • Support local HR operation in managing total rewards policy and practice for P&M populations in effective manner.

  • Keep abreast of local economic, legislative and social development. Provide meaning input related to implication, risk and resolution to ensure compliance.

  • May be involved in the development of a high performing, highly engaged staff team, promoting a culture of excellent service.

Analytical Thinking and Decisive Judgment: analyzes issues and problems systematically, gathering broad and balanced input, drawing sound conclusions and translating conclusions into timely decisions and actions.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business and/or social sciences related subjects. Relevant professional qualification.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the administration of compensation or total rewards.
  • Experience utilizing HRIS and associated technology. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous managerial or supervisory experience

  • Previous Canadian total rewards experience

  • Previous Hourly and Salaried compensation experience preferred.

  • Previous WorkDay Experience

  • Strong numerical and advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to understand trends and develop recommendations for action based on analysis.
