The individual in this position must possess skills for facility supervision and functional roles of a current Team Manager / Team Coordinator in a hands-on floor approach with the wage associates as well as other supervisors.  The incumbent must possess three to five years demonstrated experience in automotive coating production or warehouse and knowledge of the plant operations. 


Effective human resources skills, including:

  • Shows high regard for safety of self and others.  Corrects unsafe acts and conditions, enforces EHS regulations, and engages employees to improve safety performance and reduce risk in the work area.
  • Ability to address employee concerns in a timely manner and if required provide the necessary feedback through Coach and Counseling and the use of the progressive discipline system.
  • Apply policies and procedures fairly and consistently throughout the department, according to the Employee Handbook and Departmental Operating Procedures
  • Performance reviews of Wage Associates
  • Performance and Learning Plans (PLP)
  • Knowledge of all policies and procedures of the incumbent’s areas of responsibility.
  • ERT Membership
  • Effective written and oral communications are critical to obtain expected results and to enhance the team concept of the operation.  

The Supervisor must become fully trained in the Scheduling of PreAssemblies and Non-PreAssemblies for the Cleveland plant.  The incumbent represents operations and must drive effective communications across the Managers of Solventbase, Intermediates, Clearcoats, Large Batch B52, E-coat, and Waterbase, to ensure consistency.  The incumbent must provide the necessary feedback and direction to wage associates to also meet plant productivity targets.


Experience and Education

A 4 year college degree (Business Administration or Supply Chain) or working towards completion of 4 year degree.  Preferred, 1 - 3 years of experience in supply chain or order management or warehouse or material procurement.   Experience in Microsoft Office and Oracle.


Functional and Technical Skills

Experience preferred: Strong Excel skills is highly desired.
