Position Summary


The Digital Product Manager - eCommerce will drive financial impact by partnering with internal customers to define and execute assigned product vision and strategy, manage the end-to-end lifecycle of a product, and help identify market opportunities. Define and execute a thorough roadmap and product priorities based on a strong understanding of customer needs, financial impact, insights, and an even stronger handle on in-depth data analysis.

Job Duties

  • You will be the Subject Matter Expert on eCommerce in both B2C and B2B markets driving to a One PPG user experience
  • Thorough understanding of the techniques and methods of product discovery, delivery, and the end-to-end product lifecycle (e.g., creating/owning strategic products from conception to launch and working with cross-functional teams)
  • Prioritize ideas, and test valuable product hypotheses designed to deliver value to our customers on mobile platforms
  • Drive product through your expert understanding of eCommerce and the intended user use, how the product will work, optimization for the user, and simplify the business process to encourage adoption.
  • Utilize Data Analytics to these ends including: master data sources, quality of the data, required integrations, automated vs. manually managed data, use of the data, and ongoing management of the data as it pertains to the product.  Monitor changes and make data-driven decisions.
  • Work with stakeholders to understand objectives, goals, and develop the product release roadmap.
  • Define and prioritize user stories to create a Team Backlog aligned to the roadmap while maintaining the features/components i.e. making the call on what is considered non-negotiable vs. nice to have.
  • Responsible for accepting stories as those are done i.e. accountable for signing-off sprints
  • As the liaison between technical, marketing, AI/ML, and business teams, the Digital Product Manager is responsible for managing communication with team members, and key stakeholders, collecting input, providing updates, and managing expectations throughout the life of the product.
  • The Digital Product Manager will need to support the development of communication, change management, and training content.
  • Set of product KPIs, deriving key insights, and driving experiments and multivariate testing to find product solutions 
  • A self-driven, highly-motivated Digital Product Manager who can work with a high degree of autonomy and can prioritize effectively.



  • BA/BS
  • 5+ years as a product manager, project manager, or lead developer for eCommerce/Digital Transformations.
  • Ability to work well with and explain persuasively for a variety of audiences:  internal leaders, external customers, business minded, and the technically inclined. 
  • Manage the product development as if it were your own and do so through PPG’s exceptionally talented and multi-functional teams within our Agile SAFe environment.
  • Articulate clear directions, set measurable goals, and give insight on industry trends.
  • Proficient understanding of Agile and SAFe Agile development principles
  • History of making challenging tradeoffs in establishing product priorities that have required sophisticated analyses and challenging negotiations.
  • Strong project management skills and ability to present work to executive stakeholders.
  • Understanding of the current market landscape, competition, and technical applications.
  • Willingness to potentially travel 20-30%
