The Security job family forms the Security track within the IT function. Security Analysts administer, maintain, develop and implement policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of PPG’s systems. They provide specialized technical knowledge.  They contribute to the establishment of security related policies by identifying opportunities for effective use of security tools and procedures.

Position Description

We are seeking a candidate to fill an entry level position of IT Security Analyst to lead a team and provide support over provisioning activities to end users as well as the support the operation of our Identity and Access Management System. In this role you will provide direction and support with access and data quality in MS Active Directory, Windows Server, SAP and Oracle.  The incumbent will respond to work requests for technical support and performs proactive monitoring of PPG's computer systems through appropriate tools. Additionally, proposes and implements changes in the procedures and operations, develops solutions to streamline and optimize IT Security operations, participates and manages in IT Security related projects, documents, tracks, and monitors problems to ensure timely and most cost-efficient resolution. 

Minimum Qualification Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in technical IT role

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in managing small/medium size IT projects in a corporate environment
  • Previous experience with the following systems is a plus: MS Active Directory / SAP / Oracle / SailPoint
  • Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures in the IT field
  • Good understanding of IT Systems security principles
  • Good analytical, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Ability to quickly resolve technical problems, evaluates alternative approaches, and recommends the most feasible solutions
  • Ability to work in a busy production environment with good priority management skills
  • Ability to work independently or in a team environment
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office Applications
