PhD in Organic Chemistry with at least two year’s postdoctoral or industrial experience in synthetic chemistry or MSc with 4+ year’s industry experience in synthetic chemistry.
Experience in organometallic, traditional and contemporary organic synthesis techniques.
Familiarity with a wide range of techniques and reaction types such as low temperature reactions, inert atmosphere, metal-catalyzed cross coupling, hydrogenation, etc.
Capable of independently evaluating synthetic routes and proactive troubleshooting.
Experience in reaction monitoring (HPLC, UPLC, TLC, LCMS, GCMS, NMR, etc.).
Ability to work safely with potentially hazardous chemicals.
Be highly skilled in practical and theoretical aspects of synthetic organic chemistry. Have strong understanding of reaction mechanisms and reactivity.
Be highly skilled in chromatography, crystallization, and other purification techniques. Be highly skilled in the characterization of organic compounds, especially by NMR and mass spectrometry.
Have excellent oral communication skills with a strong ability to communicate scientific results at team discussions. Have excellent written communication skills through clear, concise reporting and by maintaining high quality, accurate electronic scientific notebook records.
