As a Sales Representative based in Seattle, Washington you will be in support of Industrial Coatings OEM business's profit and growth objectives, deliver specific sales objectives by managing the current customer base and securing new ones, managing receivables and expenses within required targets.
  
Responsibilities:
  • Identify, develop and implement a plan to grow PPG sales & profitability at new & existing customers. 

  • Interface with various customer personnel to promote PPG, gain approvals, and position PPG to be considered for new business in the US.

  • Close cooperation between the strategic account managers, other sales managers, technology centers, marketing, product management, customer service, technical service and other PPG staff is critical to the success of the business.

  • Communicate the customer’s needs to the various PPG functions and regions.

  • Mobilizes PPG resources to support customer factories during the launch process.  

  • Fully understand PPG’s product portfolio and benefits to ensure value selling.

  • Understand the competitive landscape, current gaps and anticipate future gaps to improve PPG’s market position  

 

Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree required
  • 3-5 years of experience in complex selling environments preferably in coatings, sealants, or chemicals.
  • Strong interpersonal skills - to communicate effectively with all customer levels (business owners, purchasing personnel, product users)
  • Willingness to travel
