As a  Warehouse Manager for our Protective and Marine Coating’s business in Oakwood, GA, you will be responsible for oversight of the PMC Distribution and Tinting Operations.

 

The PMC Warehouse Manager will lead a 1st. shift PMC team and operations for the Distribution Center through execution of the following key responsibilities:

 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide a safe and healthy work environment for all PMC employees through accurate maintenance of equipment and facilities being utilize. 
  • Ensures the elimination of health hazards to prevent work stoppage and time loss due to accidents, while ensuring adherence to all applicable environmental, health and safety regulations, standards and policies. Provide an effective management process to ensure safe work behavior by employees.
  • Supervise the PMC warehouse team and ensures each associate understands and follows to all company policies regarding safety, health and the environment and that the accurate training programs are in place to ensure that all applicable standards are met, including total compliance with all DC S&OP.
  • Maintains daily contacts with centralized customer service in establishing customer priorities and communicating potential customer outages.
  • Supervises the PMC Tinting Operations to ensure the Tinting Department is meeting customer requirements for Tinting Quality, Timely Delivery of Tinted Product and Maintenance and Calibration requirements for Tint Machines.
  • Lead associates, encouraging a continuous improvement of individual performance, that the PAP goals for the DC are met or exceeded, and that we meet or exceed all service, quality and cost control requirements; i.e.: Total Standard Variable Cost Per Gallon.
  • Facilitate regular team meetings to improve the communications with the team.
  • Ensure that the shift meets or exceeds all training requirements for Federal, State and PPG regulatory law, policies and procedures and the EH&S annual training matrix.
  • Track weekly and monthly productivity efficiencies (Picking and Tinting Rate) by associates.
  • Ensure that daily/weekly time reporting requirements are met. Review and approve in Kronos system.
  • Support Employee Engagement, and 5S processes and continued improvements.
  • When time permits assist Architectural Service Manager with orders or tints.
 
Qualifications:
 
  • High School Diploma is required
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in distribution, production, logistics, operations planning and/or facility supervision and management is required;
  • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, Logistics or related field is preferred
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
